CD Projekt RED claims that Cyberpunk 2077’s performance has reached a satisfying level

CD Projekt RED's CEO Adam Kicinski claimed that Cyberpunk 2077's performance has reached a satisfactory level during a WSE Innovation Day conference.

As Adam Kicinski put it:

“As Adam Kicinski put it, “We have reached a satisfying level in this regard (aka performance). We have also been working on improving the overall quality, which we are also quite happy about. Of course, we also removed bugs and visual glitches and we will continue to do that. Over time, we will also be introducing improvements to the general game systems that players have highlighted.”

This could explain why no performance or optimization issues were included in the game's top reported issues. My guess is that CDPR will now focus purely on bug and glitch fixes. As a result, don't expect big changes to the gameplay or dialogue systems in Cyberpunk 2077. CDPR claims that improvements to the overall game mechanisms will be made over time, but let's be honest: this isn't going to happen. This is merely public relations speak.

In the end, this means that CDPR will concentrate on the multiplayer version of Cyberpunk 2077. Given the current progress of CP2077, we can reasonably predict that the multiplayer version will be released in 2022 or even 2023. The Witcher 3 Next-Gen development could also be overseen by the group.
